YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 5, ARMENPRESS: Turkish novelist AyĆ~_e Kulin's
statement about the Armenian Genocide caused great anger among those
Turkish intellectuals whose ideas long ago came out of the frameworks
of the official viewpoint on the history of Turkey.
"Armenpress" reports that as a sign of protest against AyĆ~_e Kulin
www.change.org website holds collection of electronic signatures. The
organizers of the signature urge to boycott the Turkish author and
not to read her books any longer.
"It is very sad that ahead of the100th anniversary of the Armenian
Genocide the author says such irreverent words. At the course of
a conversation with the journalists AyĆ~_e Kulin said very calmly:
"We did not kill the Armenians without any reason". She underscored
as if they had right to kill a nation... We do not expect apology or
something like that from, we strongly condemn AyĆ~_e Kulin and boycott
her books urging all the confidant people not to read her books too,"
the call says. You can participate in the collection of signature by
