Armenia to introduce strategic planning system for environmental issues

YEREVAN. - The Government of Armenia approved the draft decision On
the Approval of the Concept of Strategic Planning for Environmental
Issues.
The objective of this concept is to come up with measures that secure
the introduction of a strategic planning system for the environmental
issues in Armenia.
The aforesaid measures must target the fulfillment of the Armenian
government's most important objectives in the environmental domain.
The Nature Protection Ministry of Armenia has developed this concept,
and on the basis of studying the respective track-record by the
European Union, Russia, Estonia, Malta, and Kazakhstan.
