ZHOGHOVURD: EMPLOYEES OF ARTIK MATERNITY HOSPITAL HAVE NOT RECEIVED SALARIES FOR 2 MONTHS

Employees of the maternity hospital of the city of Artik applied to
Zhoghovurd daily yesterday, complaining that they have not received
salaries for about two months. Zhoghovurd's correspondent inquired
about the reason from Artik Mayor Arsen Abrahamyan.
"I don't have such information. I am well familiar with the financial
situation of the hospital, and I can say that they have no problems
with salary payment. There are perhaps some organizational problems.
The law allows the director to delay payment of the salaries for
January until February 20. If there were problems, I would know about
them," the Mayor is quoted as saying by the newspaper.
