ARMENIAN KIDS TO VISIT RUSSIAN MILITARY BASE

Over 500 kids from orphanages, preschools and schools of the Gyumri
Garrison will visit the Russian military base on February 22, marking
the Day of the Defender of the Fatherland, News Armenia reports.
Soldiers of motorized infantry and aviation bases, their families,
veterans, diplomats, officials of the Russian border directorate in
Armenia and others were invited.
The visitors will observe weapons, military vehicles, imitation of
intelligence operations and marches, song performances. Four MiG-29
jets will perform an air show, demonstrating maneuvers and formations.
Colonel Alexander Petrov, Commander of the Russian air base in Erebuni,
will show high-skill maneuvers.
The guests will be offered food made at the field kitchen. A special
concert organized by the Gyumri House of Officers and artists of the
Shirak Region will conclude the day.
