Armenian Preparliament member speaks of unprecedented achievements,
New Year table

In an interview with Tert.am, Preparliament member Zhirair Sefilyan
spoke of this year's achievements and next year's expectations.
He pointed out `unprecedented involvement' of Diasporic Armenians in
Armenia's domestic affairs.
`Armenians from the Diaspora have at least been involved in the
all-important developments inside Armenia,' he said.
As regards his expectations about next year, Sefilyan is sure that `we
will be able to establish a founding parliament and to assume the
reins of government.'
`We are preparing for the New Year for our children's sake. It is a
tradition to lay the table, but we had a different idea of the New
Year table. The table used to be set for 10-13 days, with most dishes
not of meat. Everything changed in the Soviet times. Later, ham came
into fashion. I think we need a revolution in this area as well,'
Sefilyan said.
