Armenian Apostolic Church celebrates Christmas Eve

YEREVAN. - Armenian Apostolic Church celebrates Christmas Eve on
Saturday evening, Armenian News-NEWS.am reports.
During the celebration, all Armenian churches serve holy liturgy and
light candles. People take the candles and the lights from churches to
their homes, which symbolizes divine light and blessing of the church.
The celebration continues on Sunday as well.
For a comparison, the Orthodox Church celebrates the Christmas Eve a
day after the Gregorian Church, while the Catholics celebrate it
earlier, on Dec. 25.
