GOVERNMENT PAYS BACK WAGES OF ALL MUNICIPAL WORKERS

YEREVAN, January 15. / ARKA /. Armenia's first deputy territorial
minister Vache Terteryan told a news conference today that the
government has virtually paid back wages of all municipal workers
across the country for 2013 and previous years.

According to him, in 2008 back wages of this segment of officials
stood at 2.3 billion drams; now the debt makes only 36 million drams.

Speaking on the overall financial status of communities, Terteryan
said the communities collected 105.7 billion drams in revenue last
year or 98.4 % of the projected figure. Compared with 2012 the revenue
collection increased by 10.8% or 10.3 billion drams, he added.

"Nevertheless, the share of own revenues - which are land and property
taxes- remains low (29%). Their collection rate last year was 97%,
or 30.26 billion drams. Compared with 2012, own revenue increased by
    6.5 %," he added.

Terteryan said also 4.16 billion drams were collected as land tax or
95.9 percent of the projection, 12.77 billion drams were collected
as property tax, by 0.9 percent more than projected, an increase of
    5.6 percent from 2012. -0-
