"We have some officers of state, whose children are joining various
sects"
Baku. Mubariz Aslanov - APA. "People in Azerbaijan are breaking up
into religious sects and humiliating each other, that is a crime
and unacceptable," said chairman of Caucasian Muslim Board (CMB)
Sheikh-ul-Islam Haji Allahshukur Pashazadeh at the event attended by
the believers at the board, APA reports.
He said that such cases have increased in recent years: "I am not
affiliated with any religious sect, I am just a Muslim. Islam doesn't
admit dividing the religion and humiliating each other. This is a
crime. People are going to Syria and fighting there under the guise
of shahada (martyrdom) and this is not right. They are fighting for
money. The Prophet (s.a.s.) said that fighting for money is not a
shahada. I am sure that the state will take measures in this regard,
because it is unacceptable in Islam."
Sheikh called on the Cadi Council to act to avoid such cases: "We have
the Karabakh problem. We should fight for our territories and martyrs.
This is our real shahada."
Sheikh addressed to some officials about their sons: "We have some
officers of state, whose children are joining various sects."
