14:24, 28 January, 2014
YEREVAN, JANUARY 28, ARMENPRESS. The Defense Minister of the Republic
of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan on the occasion of the 22th anniversary of
formation of the Armenian Army visited "Yerablur" military pantheon. At
the course of a conversation with "Armenpress" the Minister reacted
on the vitality of the holiday noting that the soldier standing on
the border today continues the activity of the ancestors of veterans
of Artsakh liberation war.
"January 28 is the first and foremost concern to those people who
are in "Yerablur". The blood of veterans of Artsakh liberation war
who martyred, missed in an unknown way is here. Their blood was
not shed in vain, as today we are able to continue their unfinished
activity. It is due to the experience of our volunteers having passed
military actions and readiness of our current soldier that we make
progress. We are obliged to do everything in this holy place as daily
life of the Armenian people passes in peace in 2014 and forever,"
the Minister said as reported by "Armenpress".
The Defense Minister of the Republic of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan also
spoke about the tension on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and stressed
that the situation is under control. "The situation is under control on
the border. Due to the readiness of our front units, fighting spirit,
cold-hearted and valid decisions made by their commanders we are able
both to preserve appropriate conditions of the fighting duty and any
assault gets its deserving counterblow , as it happened on January 20,"
the Minister said. Seyran Ohanyan informed that there were shots at
night, but he added that war is less possible today and the Army is
ready to defend homeland every day. "These shots are everyday reality
for us and there is no need for concern," Seyran Ohanyan noted.
