ANCA Glendale Chapter To Host Traffic Safety Panel
GLENDALE, CA- The Armenian National Committee of America-Glendale
Chapter in partnership with the City of Glendale, Glendale Community
College, Glendale Unified School District, Armenian Relief Society
Glendale Sepan Chapter, Armenian Youth Federation Glendale Chapter,
Armenian Bar Association, YMCA Glendale, and Walk Bike Glendale, will
be hosting a driving safety panel for teenage drivers this Thursday,
January 30th, 2014 at 6:30 PM at the Isaac and Janet Kazandjian Hall
of the Krikor and Mariam Karamanoukian Glendale Youth Center located
at 211 West Chestnut Street in Glendale. Because of the increasing
number of pedestrian fatalities in the last year, the ANCA Glendale
felt it an obligation to get involved in community education and
outreach with regards to driving safety. The panel discussion this
Thursday includes police officers, lawyers, and teenagers who are
ready to share their experiences and to influence the driving habits
of young adults in Glendale. Attached is the flyer for the event.
The ANCA-Glendale advocates for the social, economic, cultural, and
political rights of the city's Armenian American community and
promotes increased civic participation at the grassroots and public
policy levels.
