ARMENIA TO NEGOTIATE WITH TWELVE AIR COMPANIES TO BRING THEM TO THE MARKET
YEREVAN, July 8. / ARKA /. Armenia's National Competitiveness Fund,
together with the ministry of economy, intends to hold talks with
some twelve air companies on the format of their involvement in
the Armenian market, as part of the Routes Silk Road 2014 forum,
the press office of the Fund reported.
The Fund is participating in the Routes Silk Road 2014 forum held in
Tbilisi from July 6 to July 8, says the report.
The executive director of the fund Arman Khachatryan made a report
at the forum and presented the measures taken to improve tourism in
the country, as well as the 'Open Air' policy and its results.
The Routes Silk Road 2014 consolidates aviation and tourism potentials
of Asia, the CIS, Central and Eastern Europe, Near East and is
an effective platform for promotion of new air lines and aviation
services, says the report.
About 250 expert in aviation sector, representatives from 35 air
companies and 45 airports participate in the forum.
On October 23, 2013, Armenia's government approved the program of
competitive and continuous air transportation services in Armenia,
which is based on the joint study by McKinsey & Company and the
National Competitiveness Fund. -0--
