MINISTER: NO ONE CAN FORCE ARMENIA TO ACCEPT UNILATERAL COMPROMISE
July 09, 2014 | 19:54
YEREVAN. - Ceasefire violations initiated by Azerbaijani side are
targeted at creation of tension and are an attempt to prevent progress
in talks, Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan said on Wednesday.
"The adversary cannot understand that it is impossible to force us
to do something. They imposed war, and achieved success. Now we
are being imposed an arms race. However, Azerbaijani side should
remember that only atmosphere of confidence can bring progress. One
of the elements of confidence is removal of snipers, refusal from
sabotage acts and international investigations into the incidents,"
the Minister told reporters.
However, he emphasized that success in talks is related to readiness
of the parties to reach mutual compromise.
"No one will be able to impose something on us," he added.
