ARMENIA CAN EXPORT TO IRAQ A NUMBER OF PRODUCTS

Armenia's Minister of Agriculture Sergo Karapetyan received on
Friday the newly-appointed Armenian Ambassador Extraordinary and
Plenipotentiary to Iraq, Karen Grigoryan. Before his departure to Iraq,
the Ambassador wanted to clarify issues related to the expansion of
bilateral relations between the two countries in question, specifically
in the sector of agriculture.
Congratulating the Ambassador on appointment, Minister Sergo Karapetyan
presented the relations between the two Ministries and said the sector
has great potential for development and expansion. He particularly
underlined the possibility of exporting mutton, fresh fruit and
vegetables, potatoes, drinking and mineral water, juice and canned
vegetables to Iraq.
Ambassador Karen Grigoryan, in turn, thanked for the information
and expressed readiness to discuss with the Iraqi side the avenues
for cooperation in the above-mentioned areas and create favourable
conditions for exporting Armenian products to Iraq.
