Areyan: Parents of 1000 soldiers visited border military units

At the press conference today, First Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Kamo
Areyan spoke about municipal services provided in the first half of
2014, in particular the work done under the program on improvement of
Yerevan water supply and sewerage systems with credit resources of the
French government.
Speaking about problems of apartment buildings, the deputy mayor said
38,504 sq. meters of flat roofs were repaired in 304 buildings and
23,735 sq. meters of sloping roofs were repaired in 370 buildings.
Entrance repair work was completed in 416 of the 727 buildings in need
of repair.
In the first half of 2014, gas networks were constructed for 8
buildings in Yerevan's 16th neighborhood, as part of the program to
supply 21 buildings with gas.
As regards social security programs, Kamo Areyan told reporters that
all state programs were implemented by 100%. About 5,000 families
received assistance under community programs. Parents of 1000
Yerevan-based servicemen had the opportunity to visit their sons in
military units located on the border. Monetary support was provided to
85 Syrian Armenian families currently residing in Yerevan. Household
items, clothes, footwear, and stationery were given to 441 families,
food assistance - to 293 families.
