RAISE OF ELECTRICITY TARIFF IMMORAL

The possibility of the raise of electricity tariffs by 10% has raised
a wave of complaint among the public.
The Public Services Regulatory Commission has intended to make the
decision on raising the tariff in late June. If the decision is
adopted the new tariff will enter into force from August 1.
Judging from the created situation it is necessary to create new
civic initiative "Let's Prevent Electricity Tariff Hike" otherwise the
additional social burden will be rather serious, moreover the economy
will be deprived of development opportunity and being competitive in
the Eurasian Economic zone.
If to believe to the explanation of the Commission, it is necessary to
raise the tariff due to the 20 billion AMD crack in the energy system.
Even if so, and the presented amount is not exaggerated this gap
should not be filled on the account of the people. It is immorality
and raises the despair of the people moving the people to leave the
country or commit crimes.
