PARAJANOV'S "COLOR OF POMEGRANATE" FILM TO OPEN INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL "GOLDEN APRICOT"

Sergey Parajanov's "Color of Pomegranate" film will open the XI
International Film Festival "Golden Apricot", Michael Stamboltsyan,
Golden Apricot Yerevan IFF Program Director, said at today's
press-conference.
This year the film was demonstrated within the frames of the 67th
Cannes Festival. The copy of the film was restored at 4Ð~I laboratory
L'immagine Ritrovata and financed by Film Foundation-World Cinema
Project (New-York).
This year's Golden Apricot International Film Festival in Armenia,
set to take place from July 13 to 20, is dedicated to the 90th
anniversary of legendary filmmaker Sergei Parajanov.
