MARGVELASHVILI AND SARGSYAN: EU AND CU CANNOT SEPARATE GEORGIA AND ARMENIA

"We look at the future in a similar way," Georgian President Giorgi
Margvelashvili said after talks with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan,
who is currently in Georgia on an official visit. The meeting was
dedicated to discussing economic cooperation between Georgia and
Armenia.
Experts from Georgia and Armenia talked about the significance of
the visit with Vestnik Kavkaza.
Political scientist Alexander Rondel drew attention to the importance
of such cooperation for stability in the region. "The resolution of
the conflict will give us a peaceful South Caucasus, so our country
will do everything in order to achieve this," Rondel said regarding
the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.
The director of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the National
Academy of Sciences of Armenia, Ruben Safrastyan, noted that
cooperation between the two countries is very strong despite certain
issues.
Political scientist Iosif Tsiskarishvili noted that Georgia and Armenia
"are doomed to be neighbors for the rest of their lives on the planet
Earth." He also said that the Armenian community in Georgia is very
strong and is an integral part of Georgian life.
