ARMENIA'S FIRST PRESIDENT MEETS WITH ITALIAN AMBASSADOR

YEREVAN. - Armenia's first president Levon Ter-Petrosyan on Wednesday
met with Italy's Ambassador Giovanni Ricciulli.
Levon Ter-Petrosyan briefed the Ambassador on internal political
situation and possible developments, as well as challenges the country
is faced with. The leader of Armenian National Congress (ANC) noted
disastrous influence of corruption, lack of economic alternatives
due to the blockade.
The first president touched upon crackdown on democratic freedoms
and human rights, bringing rigged elections as an example, ANC press
service reported.
