HOLY ETCHMIADZIN WELCOMES US HOUSE COMMITTEE ON FOREIGN AFFAIRS' ADOPTION OF H.R.

The Armenian Apostolic Church and Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin
II have welcomed the H.R. 4347 Act, which the members of the United
States House Committee on Foreign Affairs adopted on Thursday.
The act requires that the US Department of State present an annual
report on the efforts implemented by the US for the preservation,
recovery, and reimbursement to their rightful owners of the Christian
sanctuaries and estates that are confiscated in Turkey.
"The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin highly appreciates the efforts
of the committee members for the sake of re-establishing justice and
spreading solidarity.
"The adoption of the formula is an important step towards the defense
of the Christian minorities and their rights in Turkey," the Mother
See of Holy Etchmiadzin statement reads.
