TURKISH FOREIGN MINISTER ENCOURAGES ARMENIA FOR DIALOGUE

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu has encouraged Armenia and
its community to make steps similar to the once Turkish Prime Minister
Recep Tayyip Erdogan had made for the Commemoration Day over the 1915
    tragedy, Hurriyet Daily News reports.

The minister said that Erdogan's actions were dictated by the need for
"transformation of minds and memories." He believes that politicians
and intellectuals should breach the psychological barrier between the
    two countries.

Davutoglu stated that there was "unfair memory" around the events of
1915 and both Armenians and Turks should respect the historical memory
in order to gain understanding of what the nations had had to go
through. The minister reminded that there had been many tragic events
in 1915 and that the times before and after 1915 had been tragic for
    Turks in Anatolia as well.
