AHMET DAVUTOGLU: CRIMEA IS TURKEY'S DOORWAY TO UKRAINE

Crimea as well as Ukraine's territorial integrity is very important
for regional stability, Turkish FM Ahmet Davutoglu said during his
trip to Bulgaria.
During a joint press conference with his Bulgarian counterpart Kristian
Vigenin, Turkish Foreign Minister touched upon situation in Crimea,
adding that they had been closely following the situation.
Davutoglu said that Ukraine, including Crimea, is very important for
regional stability.
"For Turkey, Ukraine's territorial integrity, stability and prosperity
are crucial. Crimea is of great importance to Turkey as it is the
doorway to Ukraine. It is also important due to the presence of
Tatars [a Turkic ethnic group] and Turkey's cultural heritage. Our
greatest wish is the maintenance of stability in Ukraine," Today's
Zaman quotes Davutoglu.
