A group of young people have visited the Garni temple, near which a
café is being constructed.
The construction has been permitted by Armenia's Ministry of Culture.
In protest at the construction, the young men poured off the sand into
bags and took them to another place.
Priest of heathen cult Varuzh Aghajanyan told Tert.am that no
violation of law was committed and some locals even joined the group.
"The construction has been suspended for five days. Deputy Minister of
Culture Arev Samuelyan visited the Garni temple yesterday and told us
that the construction was suspended for five days," Priest Varuzh
said.
As to the next step, he said that the group is waiting for a decision.
