ARMENIAN ANALYST:THERE WILL BE NO WAR IN UKRAINE
March 04, 2014 | 12:29
YEREVAN. - Armenian analyst Alexander Iskandaryan is confident there
will be no war in Ukraine, and there is no real need to seize Crimea.
Commenting on possible involvement of Armenian armed forces' as a
party to CSTO, Iskandaryan said there hardly can be a situation when
"poor" Russia needs the help of Kyrgyz, Kazakh and Armenian forces
in order to, for example, attack Simferopol.
Another participant of a press conference Davit Shahnazaryan noted that
CSTO member states are obliged to interfere if any of the countries
is attacked.
"I do not think that Russia will be attacked by any state, and the CSTO
help will be needed. Let's hope that it will never happen and Armenian
authorities will be able to preserve existing silence," he added.
