POLISH EXPERT: RUSSIAN SIDE SEEMS TO PREFER COMPROMISE DECISIONS ON UKRAINE

YEREVAN. - There will be no combat actions and military conflict in
the territory of Ukraine in coming days, says Polish analyst Mateusz
Piskorski.
Piskorski, Director of the European Center of Geopolitical Analysis,
said one must hope there will be no hostilities following Vlaidmir
Putin's statements.
"The Russian side seems to prefer compromise decisions based on legal
principles, that are in compliance with Ukraine's Constitution and
based on generally accepted standards," he said.
If West agrees to partial return to the arrangements signed on February
21, then there can be peaceful settlement of the conflict and certain
dialogue. Piskorski recalled that the guarantors of the February 21
agreement were Polish FM Radoslaw Sikorski and his German counterpart
Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
