March 24, 2014 | 01:54
Syrian military aircraft, which was on a mission against the Islamist
terrorists who had entered--from Turkey--Syria's predominantly
Armenian-populated town of Kessab, was hit by Turkish fighter planes.
A Syrian government military aircrafts were pursuing the terrorists
when the Turkish air forces unexpectedly violated Syrian air space
and hit one of the Syrian planes with a missile, thereby assisting
the terrorists who had come to massacre the Christians, Sozcu daily
of Turkey reported citing Syrian sources.
The damaged military aircraft fell to the ground, but its pilot
managed to escape with a parachute.
The Turkish Armed Forces General Staff issued a statement claiming
that the Syrian aircraft was shot at because it had violated Turkish
airspace.
As reported earlier, in the early morning on March 21, detachments
from the Al-Nusra terrorist group launched a large-scale attack,
from four sides, on northern Syria's Latakia Governorate, which is
inhabited by Armenians and Alawites.
It is noted that two large groups of terrorists had launched the
attack from Turkey.
