Constantine Gamsakhurdia, son of the first Georgian president,
said that there were queues of Armenians from Javakheti at the
former Russian Embassy in Tbilisi waiting for passports, Georgia

In his words, the majority of ethnic Armenians in Georgia had been
issued Russian passports. He expressed doubt that Switzerland,
a mediator in Russian-Georgian relations, played any part in the
passport process.
