HAYKAKAN ZHAMANAK: 'PARAJANOV' FILM'S CO-DIRECTOR FEARED PERSECUTIONS IN UKRAINE

Speaking to Haykakan Zhamanak, director Serge Avedikian, who played
the role of Parajanov in the film of the same name, commented on the
statement of Ukrainian director Yelena Fetisova that she is rejecting
the State Award of Armenia because of the Armenian President's position
on the Crimea referendum.
Avedikian noted that Fetisova probably rejected the award because
she feared that she could be persecuted in Ukraine. He added that in
any case she should have come to Armenia to express her position on
the matter.
