AL MURR DISCUSSES COOPERATION WITH SPEAKER OF ARMENIA'S NATIONAL ASSEMBLY

WAM GENEVA, 20th March, 2014 (WAM) -- Mohammed Ahmed Al Murr, Speaker
of Federal National Council (FNC) and Hovik Abrahamian, the Speaker
of Armenia's National Assembly, have discussed ways of enhancing
cooperation in various fields, particularly parliamentary, on the
sidelines of the 130th General Assembly meetings of the IPU in Geneva.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the development of
relations between the U.A.E. and the Republic of Armenia in many
sectors, especially economic and investment relations, and mechanisms
for strengthening parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.
The two sides stressed the importance of exchanging expertise in both
legislative and regulatory fields and foreign participation, as well
as activating the role of the parliamentary friendship committees.
Al Murr noted the depth of relations between the two friendly
countries.
For his part, Hovik Abrahamian expressed his admiration of the U.A.E.'s
progress and development in various fields.
