The government still keeps allocating money in aid to the
Syrian-Armenians despite the continuing decrease in the beneficiaries'
number, the paper has learned.
Many of them are thought to have returned to Syria or just left
Armenia for another country.
The paper says it contacted Artem Asatryan. the minister of labor
and social affairs, who reportedly said that the money now goes
to the Ministry of Diaspora. "The Ministry of Diaspora has always
coordinated and keeps coordinating all the activities related to the
Syrian-Armenians. They have launched a commission where we have a
representative. Most of them were our employment agency members who
have tried to solve job-related issues," the minister told the paper,
asking for contacting the Ministry for further comments.
