Iran Ambassador: NAM can positively affect settlement of Karabakh conflict
May 17, 2014 | 13:28
Over 20 years the OSCE Minsk Group showed it is not interested in the
settlement of Karabakh conflict, Iranian Ambassador to Baku Mohsen
Pakayeen said in an interview with Fars agency.
Pakayeen believes Iran's political image and presidency of the
Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) can positively affect the regional peace
and settlement of Karabakh conflict, Trend reported.
Ambasador noted that by means of drawing up a road map and a larger
plan, reflecting disagreements and conflict conditions, it is possible
to reach an agreement between the parties and to settle the conflict
along with the introduction of innovations in mediation efforts.
Iran repeatedly expressed readiness to act as a mediator in Karabakh
peace process if requested by the parties.
