OVER HALF A MILLION ARMENIAN CITIZENS STAY IN RUSSIA NOW - ROMADANOVSKIY
YEREVAN, May 23. /ARKA/. There are currently 502,994 Armenian citizens
in Russia, head of Russia's federal migration service Konstantin
Romadanovskiy said in Yerevan Thursday, at the fourth meeting of
Russian-Armenian parliament club on migration policy.
Number of Armenian citizens staying in Russia was 677,000 last year.
Most of them stay in Moscow, Vladikavkaz and Krasnodar region. Since
2009, number of Armenian citizens arriving in Russia has grown by 60%;
every year it rises by 20% and more, Romadanovskiy said.
The head of the service also said labor migrants transferred 1.2
billion dollars in Armenia in 2011, 1.4 billion dollars in 2012 and
1.8 billion dollars in 2013.
'It can be seen from all migration indicators there is positive
dynamics not only in terms of the quantity, but also because migrant
removal cases with Armenian citizens halved and the number of labor
patens has grown by 2.6 times', Romadanovskiy said.
The fourth meeting of the Russian-Armenian parliament club discussed
a wide range of issues on interaction in migration in the framework
of Armenia's accession to the Customs Union and the Eurasian Economic
