"OLD TECHNIQUES" FOR NEW WAR

The Armenian minister of defense Seiran Ohanyan has recently announced
that they have seized a type of weapon from the Azerbaijani armed
forces, upgraded it and are using it against Azerbaijan.
Yesterday, in answer to the question on Russian supply of modern
weapons to Azerbaijan, General Manvel said: "Let them sell. Azerbaijan
has money and buys it, later the Azerbaijanis will share their
equipment with us."
The infamous Russian ambassador Volinkin announced yesterday that
the Russian supply of weapons to Azerbaijan is just business, nothing
else. The pro-Russian fifth column is repeating "Volinka's" thoughts.
And what weapons does Russia supply to Armenia? According to reliable
sources, it is scrap metal, out-of-order equipment which is disposed of
by the Russian military units and sent to Armenia within "obligations
under partnership". (It should be noted that currently the balance
is more or less maintained through modern weapons provided to Armenia
by NATO member states.)
The modern weapons supplied to Azerbaijan are already firing at the
Armenian and Karabakh borders. Recently the sabotage attacks and
intrusion attempts have intensified considerably. It is growing clear
that it is taking place under an agreement between Baku and Moscow
for political and other purposes.
In this context, all Armenia can do is to seize the weapons that
Seiran Ohanyan and General Manvel referred to. After all, they know
well the first war of Karabakh during which Russia armed Azerbaijan,
provided reconnaissance data, specialists and commandos. And the
Armenians had only one thing to do - seize weapons from Azerbaijanis.
During the battle of Machkalashen only the Armenians seized about a
dozen of tanks and armored cars.
Now weapons have been improved, their precision and distance have
increased. Moscow has created a "safe zone" for Azerbaijan because it
knows that Azerbaijan will lose an "open war". Moscow does not want
this because Azerbaijan is its strategic and business partner which
is used to destroy Armenian sovereignty.
Apparently, the tactics of seizing weapons is a little outdated and a
new approach are needed, especially considering long-distance weapons.
Besides, one of the old techniques could be used, such as disarming
the Russian base of Stepanakert.
Another technique could be used as well, i.e. during the next war the
pro-Russian fifth column which always justifies Moscow's steps should
be sent to the battlefield. It will be fair, especially for them. The
presumption of innocence should be observed to think that they are not
stooges and bootlickers but people of ideology who care for Armenia.
And the Russians will certainly help them seize the weapons sold
to Azerbaijan.
