Galust Gyulbenkyan- Aram Khachatryan Streets crossroads building's
residents refuse the park promised by their administrative area head.
Arabkir administrative area is going to build a park in the area after
dismantling the local stands. It means that at least four families
will be deprived of the only means of income. The residents began
gathering signatures for preventing the construction of the park.
"People work, we use it,"- say the residents.
They refuse the park also for another reason, people will drink and
make noise.
Arabkir administrative area head deputy Artak Miskaryan claims that
park construction is inevitable. What's more, philanthropist Galust
Gyulbenkyan's statue will be installed there.
"It is a state project, there are all necessary documents, the work
will start in the near future,"- says Arabkir administrative area
head deputy Artak Miskaryan.
The residents consider it as a step for their migration.
"I don't want to go to Russia, I want to stay in our country and work
here,"- says craftsman Gagik Nikolyan.
Tire repair stand belongs to Gagik Nikolyan, it has operated for
already 23 years. It can operate still a year according to the
documents. Not only Nikolyan family survives due to this stand.
