INVESTMENTS IN ENGINEERING LABORATORIES IN ARMENIA'S SCHOOLS TO PAY BACK BY 2018
YEREVAN, October 30. /ARKA/. Installation of engineering laboratories
in all 1,400 secondary schools in Armenia costing about 8 billion
drams will pay back by 2018, executive director of the Union of
Information Technology Enterprises (UITE) Karen Vardanyan told
reporters on Wednesday.
The feasibility study for the projects has been already completed,
Vardanyan said. Starting from 2015, engineering laboratories will be
installed in 200 schools every semester, he said.
Investments will pay back by the end of 2018 as people who studied
in schools in 2015-2018 will start paying taxes at that time.
Along with this, each Armenian IT company will be patronizing one of
the secondary schools and telling children what they do, Vardanyan
said.
The UITE head also noted it is agreed upon with the minister of
education and science Armen Ashotyan.
As university online program is currently being developed to enable
kids from provinces working in IT field. Vardanyan said they have
already had experience of such companies in Goris, Kapan, Giumry
and Vanadzor.
UITE was founded in 200 to protect economic interests of IT companies
