WORK PERMITS REQUIRED FOR ARMENIAN LABOR MIGRANTS IN RUSSIA AS FROM JANUARY 1 - NEWSPAPER
YEREVAN, November 27. /ARKA/. Russia gives up the quota system and
will require work permits for labor migrants as from January 1, 2015,
Golos Armeniyi reported referring to Sergey Temryakovich, the head
of external labor migration at Russia's Federal Migration Service.
Citizens from visa-free countries will be allowed to be employed by
both individuals and legal entities in Russia only if a work permit
or a patent is available, he said. A patent has been required for
being employed by individuals as from July 1, 2010.
Foreign nationals staying in Russia legally will be allowed to
be employed by individuals, entrepreneurs and companies based on
the patent as from January 1, 2015, Temryakovich said adding these
citizens will have to apply to the Federal Migration Service for a
patent within 30 days after upon arrival. -0--
