ZHOGHOVURD: ARMENIAN PM'S TURKMENISTAN FLIGHT COSTS $31,000

An Armenian airline was paid an equivalent of 31,000 US Dollars
earlier this month to organize a special flight for the Armenian
premier's delegation to Turkmenistan, the paper has learned.
After receiving the money from the Government, the company, Air
Training Center, reportedly provided an Airbus a319, an aircraft
which is normally used for serving presidential flights.
"A question that naturally arises at this point is why the flight was
organized by one center. It's quite explicable though: for the simple
reason that there is no functioning Armenian airline afterAir Armenia's
suspension. And if the things continue this way, the pilots of the
presidential aircraft may one day carry out flights with certificates
of an individual entrepreneur and serve the Armenian statesmen only
when they have spare time," comments the paper.
The premier-led delegation conducted the trip to Turkmenistan from
October 20 to 21.
