ARMENIA'S IT START-UPS POTENTIAL HIGH - ALISEE DE TONNAC
YEREVAN, October 8. /ARKA/. Armenia has a great potential for creating
and developing startups in IT, representative of Seedstars World
Alisee De Tonnac said in Yerevan on Tuesday.
Armenia's market is small, but its education standards are good and
the influential diaspora makes the country more interesting in terms
of development of startups, she said.
Cultural and educational capacity and anxiety for knowledge contributes
to Armenia's potential. Hence, special attention should be paid to
development of IT startups that will increase the country's investment
appeal and will ensure success, according to the Seedstars World
representative.
SeedStars World made its debut in Armenia on October 7, 2014. Some 35
start-up companies presented their business solutions, educational
apps, B2B, B2C and mobile games at the startup competition. The
winner to be sel ected out of 16 finalists will head to Geneva for
Seedstars international contest on February 4, 2015, for the grand
prize, investments worth fr om 100,000 to 500,000 euros. -0--
