His Holiness Aram I Receives the Regional Committee of the Armenian
Relief Cross
Antelias - 9 October 2014. On Thursday morning, the newly elected
committee met with His Holiness Aram I to discuss their programme and
ask for his blessings for their projects.
After listening to their presentation, the Catholicos thanked and
commended them for their project to provide free health care and
assistance to the Armenian community in Syria and the refugees in
Lebanon. He then added, "The Armenian Relief Cross was created by our
women to accompany the victims of the Armenian Genocide; it continued
its work in the Diaspora to provide relief and consolation to our
needy families everywhere. The Catholicosate of Cilicia is deeply
grateful that you are continuing this proud tradition by providing
humanitarian assistance to our suffering Syrian Armenian community."
