'EITHER...OR' IS WORLD'S FORMULA, 'BOTH...AND' RUSSIA'S DEMAND - ASHOT MANUCHARYAN

Political and public figure Ashot Manucharyan commented on Armenia's
accession to the Eurasian Economic Union at a press conference on
Wednesday.
Armenia must dictate terms to be able to raise its problems within
the Eurasian Economic Union and get them solved.
"'Either...or' is the formula of the world, whereas 'both...and'
is Russia's demand. We must understand what the West meant by the
'both...and.' America says they wanted us to join the European Union
(EU). But their aims was to create confusion in the EU member-states
and they succeeded," he said.
With respect to the Nagorno-Karabakh problem, Mr Manucharyan said:
"The Eurasian Economic Union is operating simultaneously with
other processes, and the Nagorno-Karabakh problem passes into the
background."
As to the possibility of a customs station between Armenia and
Nagorno-Karabakh, he said that no changes should be expected.
