Yezidis also victim of "media genocide"

Yezidis, being one of the oldest nations of the Middle East, are on
the verge of extinction in their own homeland. Besides being subjected
to physical extermination, another condemnable phenomenon is added to
it. The question is that many worldwide media (electronic, print),
whether intentionally or mistakenly, represent Yezidis as Kurds, which
is evident injustice.
It must be stated that we- Yezidis, call ourselves Ezdi, and our
neighbors know us as Yezidi, Yezid, which is comprehensible from the
point of view of linguistics. For us it is offending and wrong that we
are considered Kurds, who have no connection and commonality with us.
We call all the media of the world to call us Yezidi, Yezidi people,
Yezidi nation. By this you will reflect the truth as well as will
express your respect to our small, suffered nation, which has its own
unique culture and history.
