'PARLIAMENT OF WESTERN ARMENIA' HOLDS SECOND SESSION IN YEREVAN

The "Parliament of Western Republic of Armenia" recently summed up
its second session inYerevan.
The first session, held in Paris this January, established the
authorities of the members who had received votes by over 18,000
western Armenians, the Parliament's president, Armen Ter-Sargsyan,
told a news conference on Monday.
"Several legislators laid down their mandates over this period,
joining the refugee government, and then elections were held again.
Yesterday we approved the lawmakers' competences; besides we had
an agenda comprising four key issues. The parliament summed up its
activities of nine months, its program implemented since January and
the activities of the permanent committees," he said, adding that
they also adopted a package of kry documents.
Tigran Pashabezyan, the refugee government's prime minister also
attending the news conference, said the document would serve as a
basis for their future work.
"Among our key activities is the adoption of the Constitution for
which we approved a commission yesterday. After a final elaboration,
the Constitution will be accessible to all both electronically and in
a printed form, and will be put to a referendum to enable the citizens
of Western Armenia to vote 'for' or 'against'. At yesterday's session,
we also approved our strategic approaches and raised the questions
regarding the Genocide recognition and reparation," he added.
Asked who can become Western Armenian citizens, the prime minister
replied that any one is eligible regardless of nationality.
