ARMENIAN, RUSSIAN BUSINESSMEN MEET TO DISCUSS COOPERATION IN YEREVAN
YEREVAN, October 22./ARKA/. An Armenian-Russian business meeting
was held in Yerevan on Wednesday, as part of the program entitled
"Russian enterprises' business mission in Yerevan".
The meeting was attended by representatives from the Yerevan
Municipality, Armenia's and Yerevan's chambers of commerce and
industry, Russian trade office in Armenia, Russian regional centers
for export support, as well as by businessmen from both countries.
Head of Yerevan Chamber of Trade and Industry Karen Martirosyan said
ties between companies from Russia, Armenia and other EEU member
countries are expected to intensify after Armenia's accession to the
union. The meeting is attended also by companies from Iran and Syria;
a delegation from Lithuania is expected in Armenia early next month,
Martirosyan said. It is connected with new economic conditions Armenia
is in, he said.
Head of investments at Yerevan Municipality Armen Harutiunyan promised
the Mayor's Office will pay more attention to similar business meetings
and will provide all the required information to entrepreneurs.
The meeting is initiated by Yerevan Chamber of Trade and Industry and
regional export support centers of Kurgan, Omsk and Nijniy Novgorod
to facilitate efficient trade ties between businessmen of the two
countries.
Russian companies engaged in production of heating systems,
construction and road equipment, glass, special equipment, and etc.
are currently in Armenia for the mission that will continue 5 days.
About 90 bilateral meeting will be held during the first two days of
