The problem of 9 families living in the hostel in Kapan Lernagortsner
1 still remains obscure. The hostel formerly belonging to
Lernagortsner factory, which has been inhabited since 1987, lacks
simple conditions. The building doesn't have communal facilities,
there is only one toilet, it is damp and the walls are cracked. The
residents don't leave it as they have nowhere to go.
In 2005 the building was auctioned, but the residents didn't know about
it. The building has a new owner. The latter applied to the court by
demanding the residents to leave the territory without compensation. It
means that if the court makes a decision in support of the new owner,
9 families will appear on the street.
