GERMANY IS A VERY IMPORTANT PARTNER FOR ARMENIA, ARMENIAN PRESIDENT SAYS

Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said that
Germany is a very important partner for Armenia.
Serzh Sargsyan said this during his meeting with German Foreign
Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier who is in Armenia on an official
visit, Mediamax reports. The President noted that since diplomatic
relations established between the two states, Armenia-Germany
cooperation agenda has considerably expanded and bolstered by around 6
dozens of agreements which have given a new quality to the interstate
relations.
Foreign Minister Steinmeier stressed in his turn that that it's his
first visit to Armenia as Foreign Minister and it is aimed at more
activating Armenia-Germany political dialogue and deepening friendly
relations. The Minister was unanimous with the Armenian President
that the ties between the states have become closer meaning not only
politics and economy but also various areas of mutual interest.
Besides items on Armenia-Germany bilateral agenda, the sides also
touched upon Armenia-EU relations, exchanged opinions on international
and regional issues and challenges and efforts toward addressing them.
