BELARUS IS ONE OF IMPORTANT PARTNERS OF ARMENIA

Today the Framework Agreement on the general conditions of the issuance
of export credits was signed for the first time with one of the most
successfully developing Armenian banks. The turnover with Armenia is
growing rapidly, in the coming years it will be doubled.
Armenian consumers are interested in the Belarusian equipment and its
quality has been rated high. Soon, the Belarusian side will send to
Armenia 30 130-ton specialized machines. Actual question is providing
the best conditions for lending transactions.
Arsen Mikaelian, Chairman of the Board of the Bank (Armenia): "We
signed the agreement with the Development Bank. Our business and our
customers can receive funding from our bank as part of our agreement.
Today these amounts exceed billions of dollars. And we think it will
be doubled in the future".
Sergei Rumas, Chairman of the Board of JSC "Development Bank of the
Republic of Belarus": "Support of Belarusian exports becomes more
relevant than ever. We represent loans under good conditions, the
loan amount should be not less than one million dollars. We consider
only large loans. Loan rate does not exceed 4.4% in dollars and 3.3%
in euros".
Among the CIS countries Belarus is one of three important partners
of Armenia after Russia and Ukraine. Belarusian exports to Armenia
is more than 15 million dollars.
