ARAM I CALLS TO ACKNOWLEDGE IRAN'S ROLE IN COMBATING TERRORISM

I met with Iran's parliament speaker Ali Larijani Saturday, Oct 25,

At the meeting, Larijani hailed the positive role of Armenian community
in the life of Iran: "Iran has always held Armenian community in
high regard and many friendly relations have been in progress between
Iranian Muslims and Armenians."
Dwelling on international developments, Larijani stressed the
reinforcement of terrorist groups as a matter of high concern.
Catholicos Aram I, for his part, welcomed Iran's support for the
Armenian community.
He further slammed terrorism as a global catastrophe and the main
concern for all nations.
Aram I also characterized Iran's role in countering terrorism in Syria,
Iraq and Lebanon as important and effective, noting "all countries
must acknowledge Iran's prominent and constructive role in combating
terrorist groups in the region."
