Azerbaijan's MoD Confirmed Having Captured Armenian Citizen

The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan has confirmed today that a
citizen of Armenia was captured on August 26. They attached Sargis
Ananyan's photo and a video, Pastinfo informed.
According to this information, Sargis Norik Ananyan, 53, crossed the
Armenian-Azerbaijani border and appeared in the territory of the
village of Kemerli, Kazakh region.
According to the Azerbaijani source, the citizen of Armenia stopped
school at the age of 10 due to a leg problem, was exempt from military
service and had to do casual work.
The Azerbaijani ministry of defense did not hesitate to mention that
Sargis Ananyan crossed the border due to his social situation,
allegedly seeking asylum in that country.
"The captured citizen of Armenia is under medical control, he is
treated in accordance with the norms of international law," states the
message disseminated by the Azerbaijan ministry of defense.
Note that that Azerbaijani mass media informed about captured citizen
of Armenia on August 26 but none of the sides confirmed the news
officially. Moreover, later the ministry of defense of Azerbaijan had
refuted this information.
