Armenian Museum of America to Feature Works by George Berberian

WATERTOWN, Mass.--On Sun., Sept. 14 at 2 p.m., the Armenian Museum of
America holds an opening reception for "Hundred Years Wandering," an
exhibition of new and recent paintings by artist George Berberian, on
view through Nov. 9.
"Benvenuta Duemila" by Gagik Berberian
George Berberian's artwork has been exhibited internationally in
Germany, England, France, Russia, Armenia, Estonia, Finland, and
Lithuania. Currently based in Jamaica Plain, Mass., Berberian recently
exhibited artwork in several Boston venues, including the Boston
Exhibition Center and Massachusetts Cultural Council on Arts
Exhibition in Jamaica Plain. Berberian has worked in fine arts
education as a lecturer in London and organized annual students'
exhibitions such as "Art Alive" and the Koestler competition.
Berberian is a member of the London-based "Artists in Exile" group.
The opening reception will be will be accompanied by musical
interpretations of jazz standards by vocalist Ieva Berberian,
accompanied by guitarist Brad Hogg. The event is free and open to the
public, and will be held in the Contemporary Art Gallery (third floor)
of the Armenian Museum of America, 65 Main St., in Watertown from 2-4
p.m. Refreshments will be provided. Donations are welcome.
