At the beginning of the four-day parliament sitting Head of the
Armenian National Congress (HAK) faction announced that a major
project - one of the crucial issues for Armenians' good and welfare,
has not been included in the agenda formed by the ruling authorities.
"In the name of the opposition quartet, I request that the parliament
speaker convene parliamentary hearings on the mounting escalation,"
said Levon Zurabyan. "Over 212 000 people have left Armenia since
2008. This is the first case in the history of Armenia when people
leave their country in peaceful time."
Mr Zurabyan said the ruling regime is responsible for the migration
and therefore we invite an open discussion with public. "We are ready
for discussions," he said.
"We speak to people without mediators," said Vice-Speaker of the
National Assembly Eduard Sharmazanov.
