The sixth session of the Armenian Parliament of the 5th convocation
started under the sounds of the state anthem.
One hundred and twenty-three MPs had registered to participate at the
parliament meeting.
Speaker of the National Assembly Galust Sahakyan introduced the agenda
and answered legislators' questions. Later it became clear that Zaruhi
Postanjyan, an MP of the opposition Heritage faction, could not ask a
question as her registration card did not work.
"If you take a long leave of absence, your card is damaged too,"
Vice-Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov said.
"Nothing has changed during my absence. I just wanted to hear from the
parliament speaker as a representative of a governing party that has
an absolute, although vulnerable, majority, of seats in the
legislature, when the notorious Armenian-Turkish protocols will be
removed from the Parliament agenda. What steps are you going to take
in this connection," said the opposition MP.
"I would like to inform the vulnerable minority that you are posing a
rhetorical question, because we have answered the question many times.
If anything changes, you will be informed. I think that it [removal]
is not appropriate at this moment," said Galust Sahakyan.
Postanjyan's voting button did not work during the voting of the
agenda either. "Fix that button," said Eduard Sharmazanov.
